Back to basics...

After a few paintings that I was not happy with, I thought it was time to go back to basics (see Exploring Colour on Maggie Latham Fine Art*).
I did a few colour wheels and at the same time took a good look at my greens.
I did a few value studies as well.
Also a good opportunity to clean my palettes and rearrange them.
* I am sorry, but Maggie's blog does not exist anymore.

Good idea Judy, sometimes it is necessary to take two steps back to make one forward. You did a lot of different greens!

Liefs, Marleen.

I can't believe how many values of green you managed to get Judy...now you know this means I'll have to sort out a colour wheel too! lol.

Merci Isabelle! Il était amusant à faire!

Hoi Renate! :)

Hello Maga! Good idea! :)

Hoi Marleen, je weet wat ik bedoel! :)

Hi Ann! Yes, I think so too! :) I hope to get more organized and not automatically use 'good old sap green'.
