Kersenbloesem... Cherry blossom...

Heel vreemd.

Painted from a photo by Nicola B on Paint My Photo.
As always I painted several versions and I would like to simplify this even more.
This painting gets more depth when you look at it from a distance, very odd.

I love the delicate colors and how the compositon hugs 3 edges of the paper. Beautiful work!

Judy, it is so lovely, so delicate, and it DOES get more depth from a distance!

Geweldig mooi Judy!!

Judy said...

Thank you Kathryn! I have been thinking about that, I think I need to make my darks/shadows darker.

Hoi Renate! :) Dankjewel!

Hi JUdy this is really fantastic. Loose but structured, beautiful

Absolutely gorgeous!
One of the best loose blossom paintings I've seen.
You're right too, when I sat back from my desktop computer the painting took on more form. It must mean there is magic in your brush, Judy.. well, I know there is!

These are very pretty Judy!

I love the way you focused more on the spots of color, than the particular shapes. The result is so beautiful! I am curious to see what would happen if you simplify further.

Hi Judy. Better late than never ... Gorgeous delicate watercolour - I guess you're still using those lovely Rembrandts?

It smells of spring. Lovely.

Marleen, dankje!

Thank you, Jarnie!

Hi Michael, nice to see you! Some are Rembrandts, not all of them. I particularly like the ultramarine blues.

Hallo Maga, thank you!

I love your cherry blossoms. Beautiful.

This is just beautiful Judy.

Jennifer said...

Fantastisch!
