Dit is zo'n schilderij waarbij ik me afvroeg wanneer ik moest stoppen. Ik twijfel nog of ik op tijd gestopt ben. Maar het was leuk om met al die rode kleuren te spelen! Erg therapeutisch! :)
With this painting I was wondering when to stop. Still not sure I stopped in time. But it was fun to play with all those reds! Very therapeutic! :)

Vind hem geweldig mooi. En stoppen op tijd? Ja dat is een gevoel en ik denk bij iedereen anders. Hij is echt mooi en met een prachtige waas.
groetjes Marja
I totally understand you, Judy. I'm working in a pencil portrait, it's hard to stop! I keep going, it's fun and addictive! I think your painting is beautiful, not overworked. xx
Beautifully painted, as always Judy!...I love your work!!

Hola Judy: Hermosa y sugestiva tu acuarela de poinsettia o estrella federal. Felicitaciones!!!
Hi, Judy,
Lovely work. Keep playing with reds in any drawings onward.
Best wishes, Sadami
we learn when we play! i love all of the christmas holly, trees, and flowers
Thank you Marja, Anamaria, Hilda, Simonne, Sharon, Mercedes, Sadami and Cathy!
I think it's lovely - but I do so know that feeling of wanting to keep on painting. It is so hard to stop.
It's a lovely painting. Isnt it nice to paint something in juicy reds?
I think it is beautiful and those colours are still fresh and lovely! :0)
It is soft and beautiful. You lost your whites. To balance that you can add some darks behind the leaves to make them pop out more, if you want. Just my critique. xo Jenny
Lovely work, Judy. I think you stopped in time, is a beautiful watercolor! Ciao!
Thank you Vandy, Polly, Sandra, Jenny and Tito!
Jenny, your critique is always appreciated! I agree, I lost my whites!
About loosing the whites. (I use to do that too!)I thought about one more thing except from making it darker around some of the leaves to make them pop-out more. You can also make a couple more of the leaves a little brighter red. Those leaves that are brighter red also seems to pop-out more. I love this flower. It brightened-up my page! Take care!
You got this just perfect Judy! Having continued and not stopped, you have built up this piece and given it depth...and oh so Christmassy* (*not sure I spelt that right...hoho!)
Erg mooi geworden Judy heel sfeervol lieve groetjes Danielle
Thank you Catharina! In real life there is more depth in the painting, the computerscreen does not do it justice.
Thank you Ann! Christmassy sounds and looks right to me! :)
Dankje Danielle!
Es algo que nos pasa a todos. Te ha quedado preciosa. Un abrazo
It's beautiful Judy , with or without whites. When I loose my whites I often just lift off the colors with a humid brush ...works wonderfully. xx
Schitterend Judy. Volgens ben je op het juiste moment gestopt.
Dear Judy, fantastica ha quedado tu flor de Pascua. Felicidades, te deseo merry christmas. Best regards
Ciao judy, mi piace molto, bellissimi colori, belle tonalità di rosso.

It is very beautiful, Judy, lovely washes in your soft, delicate style! There is no recipe when to stop, if you're having fun, just keep going and ejnoy the process.
Muchas gracias Tina y Eva!

Your handling of red is masterful! Lovely, lovely poinsettia!
It's lovely, Judy. Sometimes just the therapy alone is enough. :)

Thank you John! Are you sure? :)
Thank you Ashok!
has a lovely feel to it judy
Dear Judy, ended the week in my family, I take my habits.
Often my watercolors, for the love of color, loose white.
I do not know if it is good or bad. It happens.
There are large well-known artists with very white and others, even those famous, very colorful. I try to go where your heart takes me ... I like this poinsettia because it gives a sense of warmth, like Christmas in which this plant is connected(In Italy, called the Star of Christmas.) Have a great week, Rita.
Beauty! Nice delicate touch.
i just love that art can be therapeutic. your poinsettia is beautiful!
Mooi hoor, wanneer te stoppen is altijd een probleem, groetjes Hanneke (eindelijk klaar met klussen en hopelijk weer wat meer tijd om bij te lezen en te schilderen)
Thank you Jane, Rita, Nora and Jenny!
