Zodiac signs: Cancer...

After several attempts to paint Gemini, the Twins, in an acceptable way, I decided to let that rest for a while. I am not an experienced portrait painter, and to paint twins right away proved to be very hard. A lobster is a lot simpler.

This looks like a very tasty zodiac sign! You captured the colors perfectly. I love how loose you painted it and yet, there is so much accuracy, including the tiny dots on the back.

Hi John, great to see you back in blogland!

Carol, I prefer soft and furry animals too, but painting this lobster made me like him more and more. He is cute really. :)

I'm having to catch up a bit here. I love the lime trees, a beautiful, fluid picture. The apples are gorgeous too, fantastic colours! This lobster is wonderful! These creatures are very complex, but you have got a lovely sense of structure in this. Brilliant!!
