I really like this one, Judy. Fabulous colours in the nest. Beautiful.

Thank you Vandy, the first nest was so dark, so I decided to make a lighter one.

Judy - this so lovely...blue eggs in a bird's nest are such a favorite of mine and yours drips with lovely atmosphere and texture. Loved the previous one as well and the quote is certainly romantic...perfect for springtime.

Oh Judy, this is so precious! Just love the softness and subtle beauty of this. This will inspire me for any nest painting if spring ever arrives here in New York!

Hi Judy, I have just discovered your gorgeous blog via Jane's "True Colours"
Your watercolours are stunning! These eggs are so delicate and so beautifully painted!

...so beautifully done, love it...

More light and contrast in this version. I really like the lovely textures you created - the straws and the splashes on the eggs. Is there an actual nest you are observing? The American Robin's eggs are exactly this color, but it's still a little early for eggs here.

Delicados toques de color y mas contraste en los colores, pero solo el justo!.. precioso

Thank you everyone!

Wendy, welcome, I'll visit your blog soon!

Blaga, both nests were painted from the same reference photo from a magazine. I believe they are blackbird's eggs. Take a look at Betty's blog, she took a photo of a blackbird's nest on her blog: www.betty-thewoodfairy.blogspot.nl/
On my little urban balcony blackbirds visit me sometimes, they love the raisins I put there for them.
