Seurat and Van Gogh...

Recently I visited the Kröller Müller Museum, to see the exhitibion about Georges Seurat, master of pointillism. And of course I also admired their permanent Van Gogh collection. Below some photo's.
About the Van Gogh Gallery you'll find more information here.
Tip: download the booklet at the bottom of the webpage, to see more Van Goghs! Enjoy!

Thank you for sharing your visit with us! I can never get enough of Van Gogh - it must have a wonderful day for you to see so many of his works. The frames are interesting as well - they look so modern!

You can tell I really went to see the Van Goghs! Yes, I wondered about the frames too, I like the fact all the frames are similar.

I love the Impressionists and only when we see their work in real life can we get a truer impression of the dynamic energy they injected into their artworks. Glad you enjoyed your day.

Well now you've made me even more determined. Great photos Judy. I liked the framing too. The light cherry let the paints breathe.. They are very complimentary.

Thank you, Judy, for the small tour!!! it's funny, I didn't really start to appreciate Impressionist works until a few years ago. Still prefer more classical work from earlier periods. But I must admit, trying to understand and create art has made me appreciate a much wider spectrum of styles.
