Sketching: portrait...

On the front page of my tv guide every week are the most wonderful black and white portraits of famous people. Wonderful references to try to paint and draw eyes and faces! I don't know who this lady is, and I'm not sure she would recognise herself, but she certainly is glamourous!
I started out with neutral tint, but soon after that I could not resist using colour.

  1. This is fabulous!! Yes, I use the TV guide quite often for exactly the same thing...although the "stars" would not recognize themselves but it is full of great faces.

  8. Beautiful portrait, Judy. I'm working on portraits, too, this summer. They are hard but there are ways of approaching them that make it easier. Glad to be back in Holland. Come visit me in Oostkapelle. I just learned to ride the train to Amsterdam, by myself! xo Jenny

  25. Judy is a beautiful portrait, you leave you something in black and white freedom left you in choosing the color, and that gave him a very smooth and glamorous touch. He is determined and successful in very few strokes. As I always say you really know your stop on time. Congratulations! Grace
