Tadaaaaa... my book!

Hier is ie dan: mijn boek! 

Ik heb in de loop van de jaren zoveel kleine en grotere aquarellen gemaakt geïnspireerd door de natuur. En ik vond het leuk om een aantal daarvan bij elkaar in dit boekje te laten zien. Ik ben heel tevreden ermee!

Het boek is 20 x 25 cm groot en heeft 24 bladzijden.
Mijn boek is te koop in mijn Etsy shop. Of mail me als je belangstelling hebt.

Here it is: my book!

Over the years I have been painting so many small and bigger watercolours inspired by nature. And I love showing some of them together in this little book. I am very happy with it!

The book is 20 x 25 cm in size, and contains 24 pages.

Nature is everywhere.

Even in my urban environment, I find inspiration in nature. A fallen autumn leaf, the first flowers in spring, or a bird’s feather on the ground.

They are my unexpected treasures.

Over the years I’ve painted a lot of these finds.

My paintings are by no means ‘botanical’. They are my loose impressions of the beauty I find in nature.

In this book I brought together some of my favourite nature paintings.

​

I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I enjoyed painting them.

An old painting...

Toen ik door mijn oudere schilderijen bladerde, vond ik een paar die nooit op mijn blog verschenen zijn.

Dit is mijn waterverf interpretatie van een olieverfschilderij op een boekomslag. Als ik er nu naar kijk, zou ik de volgende keer de schaduwen donkerder maken.

Going through my older paintings I found some that were never published on my blog. 

This is my watercolour interpretation of an oil painting on a book cover. Looking at it now, I'd like to darken the shadows more next time.

Rozenbottel... Rosehip...

Geinspireerd door het boek Wet-on-wet watercolour painting van Ewa Karpinska.

Deze rozenbottel hing groot en glanzend aan een struik in mijn straat. 

Kon de verleiding niet weerstaan om hem te plukken en te schilderen.

This big and shiny rosehip was growing on a rosebush in my street. 

Couldn't resist picking it and painting it.
