De wirwar van takken in een kale winterboom fascineren me nog steeds. Maar hoe ze te schilderen, zonder te verzanden in te veel details? Hier een volgende poging, in blauw en bruin.

goodbye 2018...

 2018 was een productief schilderjaar voor mij.

Ik schilderde landschappen en stadsgezichten. 

Ik deed mee met het little-gem-project van Maggie Latham op Facebook.
En schilderde een serie engelen en een serie vruchten.

Ik schilderde groenten,

en liet de natuur me inspireren.

Ik gebruikte plastic folie

en vond schoonheid in insecten.

Ik maakte ook kennis met ecoprinting.

En niet in de laatste plaats, ik bundelde zestien schilderijen in een boek.

Ik zie uit naar het nieuwe jaar.

2018 has been a productive painting year for me.

I painted landscapes and cityscapes.
I participated in the little-gems-project of Maggie Latham on Facebook. 
And painted a series of angels and a series of fruits.
I painted vegetables,

and let nature inspire me.

I used clingfilm

and found beauty in insects.

I also learned about ecoprinting.

And last but not least, I brought sixteen paintings together in a book.

Hier is ie dan: mijn boek! 

Ik heb in de loop van de jaren zoveel kleine en grotere aquarellen gemaakt geïnspireerd door de natuur. En ik vond het leuk om een aantal daarvan bij elkaar in dit boekje te laten zien. Ik ben heel tevreden ermee!

Het boek is 20 x 25 cm groot en heeft 24 bladzijden.

Here it is: my book!

Over the years I have been painting so many small and bigger watercolours inspired by nature. And I love showing some of them together in this little book. I am very happy with it!

Nature is everywhere.

Even in my urban environment, I find inspiration in nature. A fallen autumn leaf, the first flowers in spring, or a bird’s feather on the ground.

They are my unexpected treasures.

Over the years I’ve painted a lot of these finds.

My paintings are by no means ‘botanical’. They are my loose impressions of the beauty I find in nature.

In this book I brought together some of my favourite nature paintings.

I hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I enjoyed painting them.
