Het vinden van de goede kleuren voor een onderwerp is leuk als je het op deze manier doet.
Herinner je je nog het blog '100 Washes'? Zo jammer dat het niet meer bestaat.
Finding the right colours for a subject can be fun when you do it like this.
Do you remember the '100 Washes' blog? Such a pity it does not exist anymore.
These are gorgeous in their own right, Judy. I love making little colour studies. I keep offcuts of watercolour paper for this. Also use the back of old paintings. My studio is filled with little pieces of watercolour paper with colour studies.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThese inspired this oil paint gal. Excellent idea, I thought, as I struggled all night thinking about what palette to use for the painting I just started. If it works for watercolor, why not oils. Thanks Judy!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Vandy!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks Linda, glad to be of help! :) I was looking for the right colours for painting onions, but not happy with this. What will you use these colours for, I bet something completely different!
Gorgeous little studies Judy. We would get no where fast without them. Have fun exploring. xx
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIn my blog list, the thumbnail of your painting looked like a fish swimming!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenGreat fun ... great result!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAbrazo grande y felicitaciones.
I find color inspiration in so many places - just this week a beautiful Persian rug inspired me. I read that Van Gogh kept a basket of variously colored yarns nearby to use as color inspiration.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFabulous washes
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBeen checking out the wash a week and loving the format and the input.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHi Judy,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt is always a very good idea to test how the pigments will work together before using them in a painting, and you're right - this is a fun way to do it.

Hi Judy,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThanks for spreading the word on your popular blog about the wash a week. Love these little studies! It's such a great habit to get into doing. (and a healthy habit too!)
Test colors, to paint new projects is a beautiful moment.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA palette harmonious, that this will be useful in the future if
this time it was not what you wanted!
All blogs offering experimentation of color and washes are charming for those who love the colors and their effects like me.
Have a nice week of happy painting !!!
One can see a landscape forming in the first wash. It is so much fun letting colors do their thing and seeing what comes out. I've been keeping an eye on the "Wash a week" blog, some experiments are truly inspirational. Have fun, Judy!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenWith these beautiful washes, anything else is possible. Or, they stand on their own.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe washes are beautiful, and they look like landscapes.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenBuscar los colores apropiados es un trabajo interesante ademas de necesario. Un abrazo.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI do remember that blog yes! Quite a few over the years seem to have disappeared, but luckily some new ones are beginning to emerge which is good news!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLeuke experimenten en wat een interessante blog van de 'wasvrouwtjes". Ben meteen volger geworden. Leuk Judy!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenUnfortunately I don't work with watercolors but I LOVE seeing these washes come to life.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJUDY - THIS IS LOVELY AND I ENJOYED THE COLORS YOU USED FOR THIS LANDSCAPE - HAVE A GOOD WEEK.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenHad hoped you might join us JUdy :) ... Beautiful washes ...love the green .
