Een beetje laat maar als mijn goede voornemen voor het nieuwe jaar heb ik besloten om dit jaar te wijden aan het afmaken van de dierenriemserie.
Dat wordt een interessante onderneming want behalve dieren zitten er in de dierenriem ook mensen, zoals de Boogschutter, Waterman en Tweelingen.
Mijn aanpak tot nu toe was om eerst kleinere probeersels te maken om het onderwerp te exploreren. Soms vind ik de probeersels leuker dan het grotere eindproduct.
Dit is wat ik tot nu toe geschilderd heb, zie hieronder.
A little late but as my new year's resolution I have decided to dedicate this year to completing the zodiac series.
That will be an interesting journey because besides animals the zodiac contains people as well, like Sagitarius, Aquarius and Gemini.
My approach until now has been making smaller thumbnails first to explore the subject. Sometimes I like the thumbnails better than the final product.

Hope February brings you many more paintings and hope you will share them. Working in a series sounds like a great idea. BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe snowdrops watercolors look wonderful! I have been surprised by the real ones this year. Normally we don't see them here until the end of March, but this warm winter they bloomed at the end of January. So, spring IS coming, there's no turning back!
