Iris...

Deze irissen stonden eerst in mijn voortuin, maar daar deden ze het niet zo goed. Ik heb ze toen uitgegraven en aan vrienden gegeven een jaar geleden. En daar doen ze het geweldig!

These irises used to grow in my front garden, but they did not do very well there. So I dug them up and gave them to friends a year ago. And there they are thriving!

  21. Lovely painting Judy. Isn't it typical how flowers will grow well somewhere else...that's happened to us in the past, just typical!

  23. Sadami, Marja, Sandra, thank you so much. Sorry if I don't answer all of you individually.

Blaga, backgrounds continue to be hard for me, so it is all experimenting. But I like this one too.

    Thanks Pat!

    Jose, Sonia, muchas gracias!

Hi Ann, yes typical! My front garden is facing north, so that may have been the problem. Now they are in a warm south facing garden (that is, when the summer will finally arrive). :)

    Thank you so much, Susan!

  34. Irina, it is not difficult. First I painted the background with sapgreen, and while still wet, I painted around the flowers with yellow. I like how yellow pushes other colours aside, I use this trick also in the stems. And then I splattered clean water over it.

    Thank you Elizabeth!
