wintertree



De wirwar van takken in een kale winterboom fascineren me nog steeds. Maar hoe ze te schilderen, zonder te verzanden in te veel details? Hier een volgende poging, in blauw en bruin.

The tangle of branches in a bare winter tree still fascinate me. But how to paint them without getting lost in too much detail? Here is another attempt, in blue and brown.

  1. Het kan aan mij liggen, maar ik vind de boom toch een hint geven van gebladerte.. waarschijnlijk omdat je áchter de takken ook kleur gebruikt hebt. Die takken zijn echter wel heel goed getroffen vind ik.. de vlinders ook, mooi dromerig. :-)

    2. Ah gelukkig..ik durfde het bijna niet te schrijven, omdat ik bang was dat je het als negatieve kritiek zou zien.. maar dat ís het dus niet hoor! Ik vind het een prachtige aquarel. :-)

    3. Je mag alles zeggen, mizzD, ook als je het spuuglelijk vind, hoor! Ik hou uiteindelijk toch meestal vast aan wat ik zelf vind, maar ik luister wel naar kritiek. In dit geval ben ik zoekende naar een beetje losse manier om die kale takken weer te geven in aquarel en ik ben er nog niet uit. Dus misschien binnenkort weer een boom op mijn blog.

  4. I think you have got it with the tree - looks great to me! The butterflies are delightful. We have had butterfly sightings in my area last week. I'm not sure how they have done over the weekend as we had snow so hopefully they found a warm place to shelter.
