loving trees...

Bomen blijken sociale wezens te zijn. Steeds meer wordt duidelijk dat bomen met elkaar communiceren via hun wortels. Ze zijn zelfs in staat te zorgen voor zieke bomen in hun buurt, door ze voedsel te sturen. Bomen voelen pijn. Voelen ze ook liefde? Ik denk van wel.
Het is allemaal chemie.

Ik had verschillende versies nodig om dit idee uit te werken. Het compromis tussen het idee in je hoofd en het uitwerken in een schilderij. Susan Abbott schreef er een blogpost over, leuk om te lezen.

Trees turn out to be social beings. It is becoming increasingly clear that trees communicate with each other through their roots. They can even take care of sick trees next to them, by sending them food. Trees feel pain. Do they also feel love? I think they do.
It is all chemistry.
