Big brush, quick painting...

Schilderen met een grote kwast is leuk om te doen en een goede oefening.
Ik moest denken aan de uitdrukking: "Grote stappen, snel thuis".

Het schilderij van de vissen is losjes gebaseerd op een foto van Ruth Archer op Paint My Photo.

~~~~~~
Painting with a big brush is fun and a good exercise.
I was reminded of the Dutch expression: "Take big steps, get home quickly".
The fish painting is loosely based on a photo by Ruth Archer on Paint My Photo.
  2. Hi Judy, I think that both paintings are beautiful, but the first one, with the fishes, is my favourite. I like the composition and the looseness of the brushstrokes. Ciao!
  3. Schitterend, ze liggen klaar om gegrild te worden. Zo mooi liggen ze erbij. Prachtig dat dat met een grote kwast is gemaakt.
    En de berkenbomen zijn ook erg mooi gemaakt.
  4. Both are so loose and luminous! You are right, painting with a big brush is a great exercise as it prevents you from fiddling and forces you to simplify the subject and paint very loosely.
  20. Hi Judy... I recognise the painting too, and also feel happier with a big brush than any other. I treated myself to a size 12 sable just after xmas and am loving it and it is becoming my brush of choice for almost everything as it has such wonderful point
