Ik was zo voorzichtig met dit portret (zie hier), maar ik vond dat er iets aan ontbrak. Dus ik heb het Palestijnse meisje een achtergrond gegeven. En ik heb ook turquoise aan het palet toegevoegd.
I was so careful painting this portrait (see here), but I thought it lacked something. So I gave the Palestinian girl a background. And I also added turquoise to the palette.
Yes Judy, it added to it.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenSometimes backgrounds are needed, and it's a choice we make.

That turquoise sings and really adds to the painting
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLovely, the background and turquoise really bring the portrait out.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThe added blue's are like the icing on the cake. Nicely done Judy!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like the white of background in first version so much.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenReally brings out the eyes, beautifully done!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenA lovely soft touch and a gorgeous choice of colour
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJust enough color, Judy! The added Turquoise is beautiful..
BeantwoordenVerwijderenLooks great with the background. I like the soft edges against the face too.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJudy, the turquoise made such a beautiful difference!! Her eyes have come alive! :) Bravo to you!

So natural ,this background colors choice enhances the portrait- soul of palestinian girl.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenOh yes, perfect with the deeper shadow, beautiful portrait, such a lovely smile.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJe ziet zelf wel dat het portret nu los komt van de achtergrond. heel mooi!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI think this added more dimension to the painting, without affecting her beautiful expression. I like the result!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like addition, she emerges from the background now. It is even more beautiful than before!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis is such a lovely style of portrait painting - and that vibrant background works very well! Gorgeous! :0)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenVeel mooier geworden zo !

Nice job Judy! i like it.. :) Hugs
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThank you all!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI am really surprised that the background and deepening the shadows made her expression even lovelier. I liked the portrait, but now I like it even more.
Well done Judy, I think you have improved a lot this beautiful portrait. Ciao!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt's a very nice portrait Judy, and they are gorgeous colours that you've used. However, although I'm alone in my opinion, I have to say that I preferred the white background. ;-)
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFabulous!!! You have developed it so well. Great vision!!!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenAnd when you did, the painting came to life. Lovely portrait.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenThis is stunning! I love the colors. And in general that way of painting... Greeting from Poland!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenJudy,
BeantwoordenVerwijderenYou're becoming better and better with your portrait paintings. Like both paintings.
Thank you everyone, I appreciate your comments so much!
BeantwoordenVerwijderenInteresting that some of you prefer the white background, and I can see your point. Every painting for me is an experiment, and I am experimenting with backgrounds at the moment. So I will try more of this, I am afraid.
I like both variations and some will like the white background and some will like the blue but to me it is not just the fact of "liking" one or the other it is your were willing to take a risk so to speak and see "what if" by adding the blue and we get to see you in action and see the results and hopefully learn from it and realize there is no right or wrong in art....that to me is what makes it art in the end.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenI like both versions Judy
