Stop and smell...


Ik kon niet besluiten welke schilderijen ik het eerst wou laten zien, dus het zijn twee berichten geworden op één dag. Hier is de andere.
Deze roos heb ik geschilderd voor de challenge van Paint and Draw Together. Ik ben er erg tevreden over, omdat het me nooit eerder gelukt is zo'n gecompliceerde roos te schilderen. Bovendien is het me voor het eerst gelukt om met verf en penseel te signeren, maar misschien had ik beter een minder opvallende kleur kunnen kiezen. :)

Ik vond dit citaat, en hij kan het weten:
"Er is niets moeilijker voor een waarlijk creatieve schilder dan het schilderen van een roos, want voordat hij dat kan doen, moet hij eerst alle rozen vergeten die ooit geschilderd werden." Henri Matisse.

I could not decide which paintings to show you first, so here is my second post for today. 
Here is the first one.
This rose I painted for the Paint and Draw Together challenge. I am very pleased with it, because I have never succeeded in painting such a complicated rose before. I also managed to sign my name with brush and paint for the first time, but maybe I should have chosen a less striking colour. :)

I found this quote, and he should know:
"There is nothing more difficult for a truly creative painter than to paint a rose, because before he can do so he has first to forget all the roses that were ever painted." Henri Matisse.

  1. Knap werk die roos van je,heel levendig voorgesteld.
    Met verf en penseel signeren is inderdaad heel moeilijk, maar het ziet er best goed uit!
